Grant Sahakyan, b. 1988 in Yerevan, Armenia

Throughout my career my work has covered a wide range of photographic genres, most notably documentary and street photography both in my native Armenia and abroad. Alongside my own creative ventures, I have worked on many commercial projects, including commissioned photo series and variously themed events and functions. I have proudly shot for many noteworthy international organizations, cultural institutions, media companies and other private sector clients.

In 2017-2018, I was a photography workshop leader at the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies, teaching photography essentials to young students in Yerevan, Gyumri, Dilijan and Stepanakert, Nagorno-Karabakh. Additionally, I’ve been active in organizing photography masterclasses by other professional photographers and managing creative projects.

In the last few years I have been interested in videography and have been developing my drone operating skills, which I now incorporate into my overall work. I’m now often commissioned for projects that have a video production component. In such cases, I may collaborate with different specialists in the field to ensure the highest quality and best results for my clients.

The most important principles of my work are staying true to my artistic approach, at the same time meeting all my client’s expectations and going beyond.

Clients include:

UNDP, USAID, Smithsonian Institution, IDeA Foundation, FAST Foundation, UWC Dilijan, Voice of America, Peace Corps, American University of Armenia, etc.
